Laleh Katharsis - Name Unuttered
Where is my nymph
I was alone, entered into my arms
Where is my dream
I woke up, became my nightmare
Where is my fear
Settled on my friend's face
Where is my virtue
Fled through the keyhole
Your shoulders, vast
Blot out all behind.
Across my endless horizon
Only you are there
Are you the one
My sole existence
I wonder like a child
Burning wet in your love’s heat
Move over, there must be more
Right and left, I leaned aside
Move over, let me see what's behind
A faint light, barely there
Seen - I must go, I must dare
Your being — I am nowhere
A daydream so sweet, impossible to sate
Within it a table, boundless and great
A thousand flavors, too many to count
I took up my fork, pierced into my hand
Lest I should lose myself in empty desires
The fork goes through, but it doesn't hurt
No fire in my bones — only a tight chest
Here lies the table you falsely set
I loved you — found nothing behind
I tasted you — and emptiness I find
Where is my lover?
On my beloved’s golden ring
Where is my poem
Buried deep in my despair
Where is my mind
I sold it with dawn’s first call
Where is my faith
Through the universe, beyond all
